Sandy Shores

Editor-in-Chief

With over two decades of experience in regional journalism, Sandi Shores has turned The Sutherland Shire Gazette into the area’s most trusted (and entertaining) news source. Known for her sharp editorial instincts and unmatched ability to spot a local scandal brewing faster than a Cronulla café flat white, Sandi oversees every story with a blend of precision and flair.

Her career highlights include breaking the “Shire’s Great Bin Night Mix-Up of 2019” and masterminding the Gazette's award-winning series “Tensions at the Boat Ramp: A Four-Part Investigation.”

A fierce advocate for journalistic integrity (and perfect surf conditions), Sandi balances deadlines with dawn paddleboarding sessions and is rumored to have trademarked the term “Sutherland Exclusive.”

Her signature catchphrase? “If it happens in the Shire, it happens on my desk — preferably before 5 pm.”
