SUTHERLAND - Staff have reportedly been spooked after repeated sightings of a ghostly figure wandering the corridors of Council chambers, clutching stamped paperwork and whispering, “We’ll get back to you in 120 business days…”

Some say it’s the restless spirit of a DA that was “lodged but never actioned.” Others suspect it’s just an overworked planner on overtime.

When approached for comment, Sutherland Shire Council confirmed they were “aware of the spectral presence” but assured residents the ghost “poses minimal disruption to workflow - unlike public submissions.”

One witness described it best:

“I saw it floating by with a clipboard and a highlighter. I think it’s waiting for community consultation.”
