PORT HACKING - Residents across the Port Hacking foreshore are reeling this week after learning that three men in their 20s, who allegedly bought a $500,000 luxury boat outright in cash, may not have been "just crushing it in crypto after all."

The trio, seen regularly cruising between Gunnamatta Bay and Jibbon Beach in a sleek white vessel dubbed SeaEO, reportedly drew no suspicion despite driving leased utes, living with their mums, and once referring to a fuel stop as “a business expense.”

“We just assumed they were early adopters,” said one neighbour in Yowie Bay. “You know, NFTs, crypto, drop shipping. One of them had an Apple Watch - what more evidence do you need?”

The men’s lifestyle had included daily gym selfies captioned “grind mode,” suspiciously frequent “networking” lunches at Northies, and a small but loyal TikTok following for their motivational finance quotes like “Cashflow over questions.”

Locals only began to grow mildly suspicious when the group installed a mirrored drinks fridge, disco ball, and what appeared to be a second anchor made entirely out of VB cans.

“I thought maybe they were influencers,” said another local. “Or Uber Boat had launched a premium tier?”

Authorities are now investigating, while several local dads have reportedly updated their dream retirement plan to “just get into whatever those boys were into, minus the jail bit.”
