SOUTH COAST - Trevor the Dachshund has reportedly entered what insiders are calling a “long-term emotional withholding phase” after discovering that while Jess opted for high-end, influencer-adjacent accommodation on the South Coast, he had been booked into what was described - generously - as a pet hotel.

Jess’s accommodation is understood to feature ocean glimpses, linen sheets, artisanal soap, and the kind of silence that suggests other guests have paid extra not to be perceived. Trevor’s, by contrast, offers climate control, scheduled feeding, and a grooming package whose luxury component consists primarily of nail clipping and a glands cleanse.

Sources close to Trevor confirm he noticed immediately.

“She said it was ‘basically the same thing,’” Trevor told the Gazette. “I don’t think she knows what basically means.”

While Jess posted sunrise photos and captions containing the words reset and grateful, Trevor was issued a plastic water bowl and a laminated rules sheet. The closest thing to a day spa was a staff member asking if he’d like his ears cleaned “while we’re here.”

Jess maintains the decision was practical. Trevor disputes this.

“She called it a compromise,” he said. “I call it abandonment with admin.”

Staff at the facility report Trevor has been polite but distant, declining playtime and refusing eye contact during drop-off. One employee noted he asked whether the celebrity guests were “also kennelled.”

Relationship experts say the fallout may be significant. “Dogs don’t forget inequity,” one warned. “They archive it.”

Trevor is expected to forgive Jess eventually - but sources say the timeline is unclear.

“He’ll move on,” said one close friend. “But not before next Christmas. And not without passive-aggressive sighing.”
